Yoga Nidra is a psychic sleep meditation that helps you access the deeper theta state consciously and reap the benefits of the state. We experience this state naturally while waking up or going to sleep when we are half awake and half asleep. However, we are unaware of it and hence do not fully reap the benefits of it.


Yoga Nidra as a technique leads to deep relaxation and de-stressing, healing emotionally and physically , alleviating psycho-somatic illnesses, improving quality of sleep. It helps with improving concentration and memory , learning new things like languages, creativity, problem solving. It is also used for self actualising goals by the use of Sankalpa.


Swami Yogaratna learnt this for over 40 years and went on to start her own ashram in Gokarna called Shankar Prasad Foundation. I have had the opportunity to learn it directly from her and share the knowledge with all.
