Yoga & My Journey

The root word Yoga comes from “yuj” meaning union. Union of body, mind and spirit. My first experience of yoga was as a child in school starting with asanas. As a teenager, I started asking questions to myself about my purpose in life. A decade passed and I hadn’t done much about finding the answers. Then, I went for a short vipassana meditation course that left me with an indescribable experience and I reconnected back to finding answers. Eventually, it took me to Sivananda Ashram in Kerala where I did my 200h teachers training in a traditional environment. There has been no turning back since then. I went back within a year to do my 300h advanced teachers training. I also did my 200h Yoga Nidra teachers training from Swami Yogaratna of Shankar Prasad Foundation.

Today, I teach Hatha Asanas, Pranayama and Meditation, Yoga Nidra and Holistic Lifestyle Courses. I am a student of Upanishads and study it to find answers. I also study neuroscience, physics, psychology, human anatomy informally and bring all that knowledge to my classes.

My aim with Yoga is to get everyone to understand their true essence better – by leading a holistic life through the practises of Asanas, Pranayama, Meditation, Yoga Nidra, and by finding the answers through Vicchara (rational analysis of what is self).

What I Offer

Retreats

To retreat is to withdraw. Antaryan offers Yoga retreats and Spiritual retreats. Yoga retreats are aimed at providing a natural set-up for participants to go deeper within themselves through the practises of Hatha Yoga and Yoga Nidra. The retreats are set in beautiful Linger properties in Coorg, Chikmagalur , Sakleshpur. The participants get to enjoy some nature activities along with sattvic food along with Yoga.

Spiritual retreats aim at getting any seeker to understand their inner self better using ancient practices as well as modern psychological models and are generally for longer period of time than yoga retreats.
